Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba: Daryl Dike sends message to West Brom loanee in England action

Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba is away with the England under-20s squad, with club teammate Daryl Dike sending a message to the West Bromwich Albion loanee.

Jimoh-Aloba joined the Baggies from Aston Villa in the recent winter window on a loan until the end of the season; however, he has yet to have much impact.

Immediately after joining, the 19-year-old started in three consecutive Championship matches but has not featured from the first whistle since.

With injury to Mikey Johnston, the young talent would have been hoping to play more frequently and likely viewed this international break as a way to get minutes into the tank.

Ahead of West Brom’s final seven games, Jimoh-Aloba has been in action for the England youth set-up, with Dike reacting to a series of snaps posted from the camp.

What message did Daryl Dike send to Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba?

Jimoh-Aloba’s international break kicked off with him having to start on the bench for England’s under-20s as they drew 3-3 with Italy.

The West Brom winger was handed minutes in the end, getting 21 minutes in the game played on 27 March.

It was likely not the outcome he would have hoped for after a reduction in game time at club level.

However, it appears the winger is still enjoying his time at St George’s Park, as he shared images from his time with England.

Dike replied underneath the post, commenting, “YN in action”, with an eye emoji.

Jimoh-Aloba was called up to train with England’s senior team over the break, highlighting that while he may not have played much, he still had a successful time away from B71.

West Brom need more from Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba after international break

Life at The Hawthorns has proved tough for Jimoh-Aloba, but shortly before heading off with England, the winger did provide his first goal contribution.

In the 3-0 win against Hull City, the 19-year-old got the assist for Aune Heggebo’s goal.

After training with the England senior team and finally getting off the mark for the Baggies, James Morrison will hope he returns with new vigour for the season run-in.

While form has increased since Morrison stepped in, a lot of work still needs to be done to ensure safety this campaign, and better performances from Jimoh-Aloba would be welcomed.
