West Brom state of play: Injury news, upcoming fixtures and what’s needed to avoid Championship drop
West Bromwich Albion are set for the final straight of the Championship season.
The March international break arguably came at the wrong time for the Baggies after back-to-back wins in the second tier.
Consecutive three points were taken off Hull City and Bristol City as the Baggies showed their grit to seal some massive results.
James Morrison has done some great work to get The Hawthorns outfit to where they are moving into the true business end of the season.
West Brom have just seven Championship games remaining as we assess everything you need to know about the run-in.

What are West Brom’s upcoming fixtures?
There was no real expectation from supporters in B71 to come away from the past two games with any sort of positive result.
The win over Hull was particularly positive as the Baggies were great value for the result against a high-flying Tigers side.
| Stat | West Brom | Hull City |
| Possession (%) | 68 | 32 |
| Expected goals | 2.35 | 0.34 |
| Shots | 26 | 6 |
| Big chances | 4 | 0 |
| Corners | 10 | 2 |
Morrison will be hopeful that his side can maintain that performance level into the next five clashes against Wrexham, Blackburn Rovers, Millwall, Preston and Watford.
Only two of those come at The Hawthorns, while the other three come on the road, with thousands of fans set to back the Albion at Ewood Park.

They make way for further outings against Watford, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday, which will all be important in avoiding relegation.
Focus will first be on West Brom’s home clash against Wrexham, with survival all that matters in the Black Country right now.
Injury latest at West Brom ahead of Championship run-in
Essentially, the Baggies need to match and or better the results of Portsmouth and Leicester City below them to avoid the drop.
There will also be an ambition to move ahead of Blackburn Rovers, who sit on level points but are ahead on goal difference.

Things won’t be totally simple due to the injury situation in B71, with Mikey Johnston out for the rest of the campaign already.
He is joined on the sidelines by Chris Mepham, who is a doubt for upcoming games, Karlan Grant and Tammer Bany.
It is a blow to be without any players at this stage of the campaign, especially when the relegation battle is as stern as it is.
