Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba axed as James Morrison takes risk – West Brom predicted XI vs Blackburn
Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba could be dropped by James Morrison when West Bromwich Albion face Blackburn at Ewood Park on Easter Monday.
West Brom drew 2-2 against Wrexham on Good Friday, despite going two ahead, but the performance was spirited, and the players arguably deserved more from the match at The Hawthorns.
Although the Baggies dropped two points, they’ll feel comfortable that they can avoid the drop, as they sit four points above the relegation zone with six matches left.
Morrison probably won’t make many changes to his team for West Brom’s clash with Blackburn, but Jimoh-Aloba could find himself on the bench.

Ollie Bostock replaces Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba vs Blackburn
The Baggies have been dealt a blow as Jed Wallace is ruled out for the next few weeks, meaning Morrison was light on natural options to replace him.
Jimoh-Aloba started at right-midfield, but it’s safe to say that he delivered an uninspiring performance out wide.
According to Sofascore, Jimoh-Aloba had just 19 touches before being subbed off in the 72nd minute for Daryl Dike.
| Stat | Jimoh-Aloba |
| Minutes played | 72 |
| Pass accuracy | 60% |
| Shot accuracy | 0% |
| Dribbles (successful) | 0/3 |
| Ground duels (won) | 1/6 |
Having joined the Baggies on loan from Aston Villa in the winter transfer window, it hasn’t quite clicked yet for the academy graduate.
It must be said that he isn’t used to playing in that position, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that West Brom need a lot more threat on the right-hand side.
Therefore, although it’s not his natural position, Ollie Bostock could come into the team to inject more decisiveness into West Brom’s attacking play.

The rest of the team should remain unchanged, which is brilliant news for Josh Maja.
How Josh Maja has silenced critics in recent weeks
Maja has been linked with a move away from West Brom, although his recent performances alongside Aune Heggebo may force the Baggies to extend his contract.
Against Wrexham, he was a complete nuisance and capped off the display by scoring an emphatic penalty.
Maja has been criticised for his work rate multiple times this season, and although it was certainly warranted, there is no denying how important he has been for the Baggies.

With two goals in his last three matches, the Nigerian striker is stepping up at a perfect time for the Baggies, and Morrison has begun to completely trust him up front.
Blackburn don’t have a particularly solid defence, and Maja will definitely be keen to continue his rich vein of form.
