Sam Parkin predicts scoreline of West Brom showdown vs Millwall at The Hawthorns
Sam Parkin believes Millwall will inflict more “woe” on West Bromwich Albion in their bid to stave off relegation to League One.
West Brom are on a six-match unbeaten run under James Morrison, as they inch further away from the Championship’s relegation zone.
After back-to-back wins over Hull City and Bristol City, West Brom looked to be heading to a third straight victory, only for Wrexham to come from two goals down to secure a draw.
A gritty, uninspiring point followed at fellow strugglers Blackburn Rovers, where 7,500 travelling fans cheered on their side at Ewood Park.
West Brom are set to face automatic promotion hopefuls Millwall on Friday but ex-Luton Town striker Parkin thinks the Lions will come out on top here.

West Brom backed to lose to ‘resilient’ Millwall
Millwall rose into the top two after beating promotion rivals Middlesbrough on 3 April, before suffering a damaging loss to Norwich City three days later.
Morrison has made West Brom very difficult to beat in recent weeks but ex-Millwall man Parkin thinks the London outfit, who are now fourth on goal difference, will return to winning ways at The Hawthorns.
| James Morrison’s latest West Brom caretaker spell | |
| Blackburn Rovers 0-0 West Brom | 6 April |
| West Brom 2-2 Wrexham | 3 April |
| Bristol 0-1 West Brom | 21 March |
| West Brom 3-0 Hull | 14 March |
| West Brom 1-1 Southampton | 11 March |
| Sheffield Utd 1-1 West Brom | 7 March |
| Oxford Utd 2-1 West Brom | 28 February |
Predicting a 2-1 away win for Millwall, Parkin said on the Benjamin Bloom YouTube channel, “I think it is more likely for Millwall to get back on the horse rather than West Brom beat a very resilient Lions team.
“For that reason, I am going to go for more woe at The Hawthorns.”
Prominent Championship content creator Bloom himself went for a 1-1 draw, outlining how West Brom are a tough test for anyone these days.
West Brom sit 20th in the table, with five games to go. They are four points above the bottom three, with Leicester City currently in the last relegation spot.
West Brom try to end barren streak against Millwall
Despite West Brom being a bigger and more successful club than Millwall, the Lions have been something of a bogey team this decade.
Indeed, the last time West Brom beat Millwall was way back in February 2020 in a 2-0 win in the Championship.
West Brom have failed to beat Millwall in any of their last nine meetings, although six of those have been draws.

Heading into this contest, West Brom received a boost when relegation rivals Leicester learned that their appeal against a points deduction had been unsuccessful.
That means West Brom’s safety is still in their hands. If they can upset the apple cart at home, that will have big ramifications at the top and bottom of the Championship.
