West Bromwich Albion have found their feet under James Morrison, but not enough to steer clear of relegation.

Heading into their last four games of the season, the Baggies sit five points clear of the drop zone, albeit with Leicester having played one less game.

Albion have improved on their form since Morrison was hired as interim manager, with the former Baggies midfielder certainly staking his case for the job for the long term.

However, there are still several issues present at The Hawthorns that will need addressing as a matter of urgency before they return to action next weekend.

Not only to keep West Brom in the Championship, but also to spark far more optimism ahead of the new campaign.

West Brom’s form isn’t as good as it meets the eye

Given where they were when Eric Ramsay was sacked, for Albion to be unbeaten in seven is certainly good going.

However, the issue with their form is the lack of wins, and more so, the lack of goals.

Of those seven games, Albion have only won two, while also now having blanked in their last two Championship fixtures.

A further three of those seven games have seen West Brom score just once, with the 2-2 draw against Wrexham and the 3-0 win over Hull the clear outliers.

Albion’s attacking threat has been minimal, and while a lot of that is down to the absence of Mikey Johnston, several other factors also come into play.

Morrison needs to find a way to get his side firing on all cylinders in the final third, and if he can achieve that in the final four games, safety will be theirs.

What are West Brom’s relegation chances?

As of now, West Brom are predicted to finish 20th in the Championship, and four points clear of the drop zone.

Morrison’s side are fore4casted to finish on 51 points, which would mean they pick up another five points from their final four games of the season.

They have an 11.54 per cent chance of relegation, which is significantly lower than Leicester’s 59.28 per cent, with the Foxes predicted to go down.
