West Brom: Isaac Price contract examined as versatile gem back to his best at The Hawthorns
West Bromwich Albion are finally seeing the best of Isaac Price once again.
The Northern Ireland international proved to be a massively impactful player in his early days at The Hawthorns, but this season hasn’t been his best.
There have been plenty of complaints aimed towards the attacking midfielder after various spells without goals and assists to speak of.
That hasn’t been unusual at Albion this campaign, and he isn’t alone in improving since the introduction of James Morrison as interim head coach.
Price has stepped up for West Brom as we now assess what we know about his current deal in the Black Country.

What is Issac Price’s West Brom contract situation?
Things just haven’t gone well for Albion this season, and it has left them in a bit of a mess at the bottom of the Championship.
The attacking midfielder has played a negative role in all of that himself, despite putting up early numbers that skew his goal output.
| Stat (Championship 25-26) | Isaac Price |
| Appearances | 42 |
| Goals | 8 |
| Assists | 2 |
| Chances created | 60 |
| Duels won | 123 |
| Defensive contributions | 114 |
He has netted two goals and has failed to pick up a single assist since the turn of the year, which obviously isn’t good enough.
Price was most recently on the scoresheet against Wrexham, marking a positive run of form against the likes of Hull City, Bristol City, Blackburn Rovers and Millwall.
Maintaining a positive performance level will make the fact that his contract doesn’t expire until 2029 all the more comforting.
He penned a four and a half year deal after his move from Standard Liege in January 2025 and is reportedly paid £10,000 per week as part of that move.
That equates to a yearly salary in the region of £520,000 for the Northern Irishman, which ranks around the middle of the Baggies’ squad right now.
Price has been improved for West Brom recently, and there could be a new deal in the pipeline if that quality continues to show.
Could Price sign a new deal at The Hawthorns?
There are a lot of ifs that need an answer between now and the end of the campaign before decisions over contracts and transfers can be made.
The future of The Hawthorns outfit will ultimately depend on whether they can avoid relegation in the final weeks of the season.
If West Brom can remain in the Championship, there is every chance that Price is afforded a new deal to reflect his importance in this current squad.

He is the sort of player you build a side around, and if he’s at his best, there aren’t too many better in his position in the entire division.
That could all change if the Baggies fall into League One, but for now, fresh terms could be in the pipeline for Price.
