West Brom hit back at PSR change latest in defiant new statement – All 99 words here
West Bromwich Albion have hit back at claims that they have been charged with a PSR breach.
A report from The Telegraph’s John Percy on 13 April stated that the Baggies were charged with an alleged breach of Profit and Sustainability regulations.
It claimed that a points deduction, fine or transfer ban could be on the cards for The Hawthorns club after they narrowly exceeded loss limits.
However, the club have now responded with a statement, casting doubt on whether they have actually breached the rules.
West Brom fans will be hoping that it is all a big misunderstanding, as it would put them in a very precarious position.

What did West Brom say about PSR breach claims
West Brom seemed to deny the alleged breach in a defiant statement released on their official X account.
It claimed that the Black Country club feel like they have complied with the rules and want to resolve the matter, refusing to comment further.
Taking to the platform with a 99-word response, they said: “West Bromwich Albion acknowledges media reports relating to the club’s compliance with the EFL’s Profitability & Sustainability (P&S) rules.

“The club considers that it has fully complied with the P&S rules. The club will continue to co-operate with the EFL’s Club Financial Reporting Unit and looks forward to resolving this matter.
“Albion understands the concerns of supporters and thanks fans for their unwavering support of the team, whose success on the pitch during the final four games of the season remains our absolute priority.
“It would not be appropriate for the club to comment further at this stage.”
Why is the situation not fair to the fans
The situation needs to be clarified shortly, as it is unfair on supporters that they are none the wiser over what has happened.
It seems like it is the Baggies’ word against the EFL’s, and that will surely not end well for the B71 club in the long run.
Hopefully, it all goes away, and it turns out that the Baggies are not in any trouble, but that seems unlikely at the current stage.
Relegation to League One would be a disaster, and if a points deduction is deemed the appropriate sanction, then it could send the Throstles down to the third tier.

No matter the outcome, the last four games of the season have taken on even more importance.
James Morrison’s side need nearly maximum points from their clashes with Preston, Watford, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday, to put any chances of the drop behind them.
Supporters need to be able to make plans for next season, whether they are going to renew season tickets, and save for potential away trips, and the longer it goes on without any kind of clarity is more cruel to the fanbase.
