Man United ready to sanction Shea Lacey loan deal

Especially towards the top of the Championship, clubs are reluctant to bring in youth players who have had little to no access to senior football.

And having made just three appearances for the Red Devils since May last year, Lacey is certainly one of them.

However, the teen managed a remarkable 17 goal involvements in 18 appearances for Man United’s Under-21s this season, and looks set to depart on loan.

That is according to Alan Nixon, who reported via his Patreon that several Championship and League One clubs are already queuing up for his signature.

What would Lacey bring to West Brom?

The 19-year-old has created five big chances for the Red Devils’ Under-21 side this season, which places him among the top 11.1 per cent of wingers in the Premier League 2.

Lacey averages 1.97 dribbles per game, which again places him among the top 20 per cent.

West Brom need much more from the wide areas, and given his direct style of play, Lacey would certainly be able to offer it.
