West Brom injury news as triple update shared before game vs Norwich City
West Bromwich Albion kick off their Championship campaign away at Norwich City on Saturday.
The Baggies made a winning start to competitive action in a 4-1 EFL Cup first-round win at Rotherham United last weekend.
Jimmy Jay-Morgan was on target twice, while fellow new boy Felix Horn Myhre, and Harry Whitwell were also on the scoresheet.
Now James Morrison is preparing his side to start another gruelling Championship season, starting with a lengthy trip to face Norwich City at Carrow Road.
The Baggies boss is hopeful his side can compete at the top end of the table this time around after producing a rescue act as interim manager last season.
Ahead of the journey to face the Canaries, Morrison shared a triple injury update on Tammer Bany, Mikey Johnston, and Whitwell.

Attacking midfielder Bany has endured an injury nightmare since moving to The Hawthorns in a £3.3million deal from Randers in January 2025.
The 22-year-old is yet to make a competitive start for West Brom, though he did feature for 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Coventry City recently.
Bany was not in the squad to face the Millers, though Morrison explained this was always part of the plan as he follows a fitness programme with a view to keeping him healthy long term.
However, Bany will not be involved against Norwich, nor will Baggies talisman Johnston (Express & Star).
The winger is still on the comeback trail from a broken ankle sustained last season, and Morrison confirmed the clash against Norwich has come too soon.
Whitwell came off as a precaution with a calf injury against Rotherham, but he has trained and should be fine to feature against Norwich.

West Brom will, naturally, be keen to get off to a flier when they face Norwich this weekend.
But the Baggies do not have the best recent record against a Norwich side many fancy to do quite well this season.
Norwich have won the previous two encounters with West Brom in all competitions, while they have triumphed in three of their previous four overall, and could now win three in a row against Albion for the first time since November 1995.
West Brom have just a solitary victory against Norwich to their name from the last five outings, though that was a 1-0 victory in last season's corresponding fixture.
