West Bromwich Albion are working on making more additions during the summer transfer window.

The Baggies have brought in five signings during the summer transfer window to bolster James Morrison's squad.

Jimmy Jay-Morgan and Barney Stewart joined from Chelsea and Falkirk to add to the Baggies' attacking ranks.

Matt Ingram signed from Oxford United to add to Albion's goalkeeper ranks, with Josh Griffiths moving to Championship rivals Stoke City.

Veteran Conor Townsend returned on a free transfer and Nolan Galves arrived from Rodez AF to give Morrison more choice at full-back.

More additions are expected before the close of the window, but West Brom News has looked at the winners and losers of the Baggies' transfer window thus far.

Aune Heggebo - winner

Aune Heggebo scored nine goals in 46 Championship outings after joining on a five-year deal last summer.

The Norwegian striker will hope for a better goals return during his second campaign and the signing of Morgan may help there.

Morgan, 21, is a forward whose energy could create more spaces and opportunities for Heggebo to flourish.

If Albion can add to their wide ranks, as is expected before the window closes, then there's every chance we saw more from him this campaign.

Harry Whitwell - winner

There is a growing excitement about what Harry Whitwell can bring to the table.

The 20-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan in the National League with Forest Green Rovers to continue his development.

Whitwell has impressed so far during pre-season, and has been used on the right of midfield due to a lack of other options.

So, it could be that he does enough to convince Morrison he can be used in the first team this term.

If not, though, then you would hope he has shown enough to earn a decent loan move that can only help him and Albion moving forward.

Tammer Bany - loser

West Brom News has previous written about three priorities left for West Brom boss Morrison this summer.

Among those is improving the forward areas, where the Baggies are still looking very light on options.

If they can boost their numbers in the final third then it looks increasingly bleak for Tammer Bany, who joined from Randers in February 2025.

The 22-year-old has had a miserable time of it with injuries during his time at The Hawthorns, and has not grasped chances when they have come this way.

At some point, it will be time for Albion to accept they may have to cut their losses as it pertains to Bany.

Alex Mowatt - loser

Alex Mowatt has been a decent servant to Albion during the past few seasons.

But there is a growing sense that opportunities are going to be increasingly limited, not least by the emergence of Whitwell.

Central midfield is one area where West Brom are looking reasonably healthy.

Throw in the fact they are being linked with a loan move for Aston Villa gem George Hemmings and a deal for Norway midfielder Felix Horn Myhre, then his prospects look even bleaker.
