West Brom vs QPR team news: 10 players set to miss Championship clash
West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers will both be without some big players in their Championship clash on Saturday.
Albion will be hoping to keep their spot at the top of the Championship table with another win after a sizzling start to the season.
The Baggies have yet to lose at The Hawthorns this campaign, as a win would take their overall tally to 16 points.
As for QPR, they have also had a strong start and sit in fourth place with 11 points after six games.
The visitors are winless in their last two, with the injuries starting to pile up for Julien Stephan's men.
But West Brom and James Morrison have their own problems with several players.
West Brom injury and suspension latest
Mikey Johnstone has suffered a setback in his ankle injury after a new issue was flagged during medical scans.
The Republic of Ireland international is following a treatment plan, but does not require surgery, which is good news for Albion.
Johnstone is out for an extended period of time, while right-back is the latest issue for Morrison.
Nolan Galves suffered a knee injury in West Brom's 1-0 win over Derby at Pride Park, and will also be unavailable against QPR.
Brayann Pereira made his debut against the Rams, but was given his marching orders after receiving a second yellow card in the first half, with no senior, natural right-back options available to Morrison for this match
Despite West Brom being without three players, QPR look set to be without seven after the latest update.
QPR boss sounds defeated in latest update
Stephan is without several first-team starters ahead of his team's trip to The Hawthorns.
He told West London Sport: "It’s difficult for me to give you more information about them because we have to assess them, but it doesn’t present very well."
Karamoko Dembele is currently out injured with a cruciate ligament injury, with Boy Kemper's thigh injury set to keep him out of this one.
Ilias Chair and Richard Kone were both taken off during the first half of QPR's 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough with muscle problems, as the pair do not appear ready for Saturday.
Injury-riddled Tariq Lamptey was also taken off after 36 minutes of the Hoops' last game against Charlton, while Jimmy Dunne also went off three minutes into the second 45 with a muscle injury.
Koki Saito missed the 0-0 draw to Charlton through injury, and reportedly remains a doubt to play against the Baggies.
A total of 10 players could miss the clash, but things could be much, much worse for West Brom.
