The familiar West Brom faces Carter Pinnington has linked up with as loan exit announced
Carter Pinnington has been loaned out by West Bromwich Albion just a few months after arriving at The Hawthorns.
The teenager joined the Baggies from Liverpool, where he had spent the previous 12 years.
Pinnington was used by James Morrison in pre-season matches against Sheffield Wednesday and Notts County.
It was unclear whether Pinnington would be part of West Brom's senior squad or instead link up with the Under-23s.
However, it soon became clear the centre-back is more of one for the future in the West Midlands.
And it has now been confirmed Pinnington has been loaned out until January.
How did Carter Pinnington perform on debut for new club?
It did not take Pinnington long at all to feature for his new club - just hours, in fact.
Albion announced on Tuesday evening that the young defender had joined Solihull Moors on a three-month loan deal.
Later the same evening, Pinnington started for the National League side in their meeting with Woking.
Pinnington played 69 minutes for Solihull as they beat Woking 4-2.
And it turns out Pinnington was playing with some familiar faces as far as West Brom connections go.
Who are the West Brom alumni in Solihull Moors ranks?
As pointed out by Conrad Chorcop via X on Wednesday, former West Brom academy duo Jamie Andrews and Jake Wakeling also started for Solihull.
Central midfielder Andrews was on Albion's books until 2024 and made one appearance at senior level.
That came in a 4-0 FA Cup third-round replay victory over Chesterfield in January 2023.
He has since spent a couple of seasons at Woking, before joining Solihull this summer.
Striker Wakeling, meanwhile, did not make a senior appearance for West Brom prior to departing in 2020.
The 25-year-old joined Leicester City, where he also did not play, before moves to Swindon Town, Peterborough United and now Solihull Moors.
Hopefully for Pinnington, the defender can thrive in his first taste of senior football and then be ready to challenge for a squad place at West Brom come the New Year.
