Things you might have missed in West Brom's win vs Bromley - Ex-player spotted in stands
West Bromwich Albion beat Bromley 4-1 in Albufeira on Friday to conclude their pre-season training in Portugal on a high.
Jimmy-Jay Morgan, Aune Heggebo, Jack Bray and Barney Stewart were all on target to secure Albion's victory in front of hundreds of fans who travelled to Portugal.
Victor Adeboyejo's first-half penalty proved no more than a consolation for Bromley, who kick-off their first ever season in League One against Barnsley next month.
As for the Baggies, they're now returning to to England ahead of playing Shrewsbury and Peterborough.
For many West Brom fans, Friday's win was the first time they got to see how Morrison set up his side after a period of intense training and preparation.
And while many were impressed by what they saw on the pitch, West Brom News has gathered three things supporters might have missed from the victory in Portugal.
Dominic Price watches in the stands
West Brom's technical director Dominic Price watched on as Morrison's men ran rampant against the South East London side.
Price was hired by the Baggies in March after previously serving in the same role at Israeli Premier League side Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
After he was hired, Price was tasked with overseeing West Brom's squad planning, meaning that he could have been in Portugal this week to meet with Morrison to discuss potential new signings - or sales.
West Brom News has already reported on how mystery man Tammer Bany wasn't in the matchday squad at Estadio da Nora on Friday.
The Albion started the summer transfer window with a bang by signing Morgan and Stewart within hours of one another in mid-June.
Matt Ingram and Carter Pinnington have since joined on free transfers, but Albion haven't signed anyone since 1 July now and there'll need to be some movement in the coming days if the Black Country club wants to avoid having to panic buy later in the window.
West Brom fans boo hydration break
It's good to see a new tradition of booing hydration breaks is being implement into football.
At the World Cup this summer, FIFA took the controversial decision to allow hydration breaks halfway through each half.
However, a lot of them have come in more than ideal temperatures for playing football - even in some air-conditioned stadiums - leading to many thinking that this is simply a ploy for American broadcasters to be able to aid extra adverts during match coverage.
As for the one on Friday, the boos were no doubt in a good humour because of it being a pre-season friendly.
Gareth McAuley spotted in Albufeira watching West Brom win vs Bromley
West Brom hero Gareth McAuley was spotted by eagle-eyed fans watching the 4-1 win against Bromley on Friday.
McAuley, who made 227 appearances for the Baggies and earned 80 caps for Northern Ireland, played alongside Morrison during his playing days at The Hawthorns and was likely there to support his former teammate on his first venture into full-time senior management.
It's likely that McAuley would have been impressed with what he saw from Morrison's men, who blew Bromley away in both halves.
Next up for the Baggies is a trip to Shrewsbury on Saturday, before heading to Peterborough on 1 August.
Albion's season officially begins on 8 August when they take on Rotherham in the Carabao Cup, before they kick off their Championship campaign away at Norwich on 15 August.
