What James Morrison’s comments on Jayson Molumby may reveal about West Brom plans
James Morrison has shut down exit rumours over West Bromwich Albion midfielder Jayson Molumby.
The Republic of Ireland international had been linked to fellow Championship side Wrexham.
The 26-year-old has grown into a crucial player for the Baggies over the years after first joining in 2022.
The midfielder has even worn the captain's armband on quite a few occasions for the B71 outfit.
Losing him would not have been ideal for Morrison, especially with the Irishman now one of the more senior players.

Morrison was directly asked about the rumours, replying: “I'm not aware of any of that.
"He played today [1 August] and he did really well. He's an important player. I see him as an important player, an important character to the squad.”
With West Brom having the lowest number of squad players in the Championship, the Hawthorns side need to bring players in, rather than let them leave.
So the fact that Molumby is not on the agenda to be sold is a resounding positive for West Brom.
