Wrexham want Jayson Molumby transfer to compound West Brom misery

West Brom midfielder Jayson Molumby is a wanted man.

Often a divisive figure at The Hawthorns, there are plenty who wouldn't actually mind a switch in midfield.

James Morrison has focused heavily on his attack and defence so far in the transfer window, but that could now change.

Wrexham are in the market for another midfielder, and it appears that Molumby could be their man.

With Alex Mowatt and Ousmane Diakite still available ahead of the new season, Molumby could be covered for now.

But, Phil Parkinson will need to push the boat out to sign him.

How Wrexham could hurt West Brom again

Paying around £5million, the Red Dragons would likely need to do similar with Molumby to make it a worthwhile exit.

It's said that they're also looking at Preston's Ben Whiteman, who is unsettled by the interest, something that could describe Molumby, too.

Wrexham want both, but may be forced to settle for one, depending on potential costs and wages involved.

Who could West Brom sign to replace Molumby?

Ironically, interest in midfielders has increased this week.

So, it makes sense that Wrexham may have made their move for Molumby, sparking the Albion into action.

SK Brann midfielder Felix Horn Myhre has been heavily linked with The Hawthorns, with another Norway star on the radar after Aune Heggebo.

While Wrexham may compound West Brom's misery by moving for Molumby after Imray, they are prepared, it seems.

Now may be the perfect time to move the Irishman on too, who despite his moments of brilliance, simply isn't reliable enough.

Molumby's rash temperament and ill-discipline did cost the Baggies more than once last season, so Morrison may have that in mind.

If West Brom can bring in some decent money and move for Myhre quickly, it may be a swap that suits all parties.
