When are West Brom fixtures released for 2026-27 Championship season? Exact time and date
West Bromwich Albion are looking ahead to what is hopefully a more prosperous 2026-27 Championship season.
Burning through two managers in Ryan Mason and Eric Ramsay, the Baggies called upon former midfielder James Morrison to turn things around earlier this year.
In years gone by, turning a season around would have meant getting back among the promotion spots, or climbing up from the mid-table spots.
This time, Albion were in serious danger of dropping to League One, and could well have if not for the timely appointment.
After a 10-match unbeaten run heading into the final day, the Midlanders would secure their second tier spot, despite a two-point deduction from the EFL.
And now, the excitement is building ahead of Morrison's first pre-season, with fixture release day just around the corner for the Baggies faithful.
When will West Brom fans find out the 2026-27 fixtures?
With the World Cup concluding on Sunday 19 July, the start of the EFL season has been pushed back a week compared to last term, with the opener on Friday 14 August.
With this in mind, fixture release day is fast approaching - one of the highlight days of the football calendar.
On Thursday 25 June, the order of proceedings for the 2026-27 campaign will be announced, with a 12pm release scheduled.
Albion fans will be able to see their fixture list in full on the club's official channels, the EFL website and West Brom News.
As Morrison gets stuck into his first full-time job, fans will be eager to see their side handed a favourable start to avoid any immediate pressure on the former midfielder.
Fans will also be keeping an eye out for some big days out, with the Black Country derby back on the calendar with fans in attendance for the first time since the 2011-12 campaign.
What can West Brom expect ahead of 2026-27 season?
As a club, Albion are among those who should always have promotion in their sights, whenever they find themselves in the second tier.
For too long, these ambitions have gone astray, with a series of wrongdoings leading to the relegation scrap of last term.
Nonetheless, the Baggies are looking to become a club on the up again, especially after Morrison calmed things down towards the back end of last season.
With a boss who knows the club inside and out, exciting talent in Isaac Price, Barney Stewart, Jimmy-Jay Morgan and more, there is no reason why West Brom can't be aiming for a spot in and around the playoffs.
After narrowly avoiding the drop, Hull City would go on and ascend to the top flight, proving that anything really is possible in the Championship.
For now though, Morrison will be looking to lay the groundwork for a season that sees Albion far away from any relegation trouble.
