According to the Express and Star, West Brom will have to wait until after this weekend to push ahead with any potential move for Myhre.

That is because it is now "expected" that the midfielder will be involved for Brann as they take on Rosenborg on Sunday.

The fixture is a key match-up in the Eliteserien, with the two Norwegian outfits in eight and ninth place respectively.

Brann are also just six points behind the Europa League qualifer places, so it is clear why they may not want to let Myhre exit just yet.

What the latest SK Brann stance means for West Brom's chances

The stance from Brann does not diminish West Brom's chances at all, as it is what is to be expected of a club trying to prioritise their own interests.

The Norwegian side are well aware that Myhre is deserving of a chance abroad but will not be eager to accept offers they deem too low.

That is evident through Brann's manager, Eirik Horneland, stating: "I don't think there's any doubt that Felix will get out at some point.”

The Baggies must simply roll up their sleeves and put forward an offer they feel is reasonable for Myhre.

There is still plenty of time to get a deal agreed before the Championship season starts on 15 August.
