Why Felix Horn Myhre can set Championship alight as West Brom approach made

West Brom can land themselves a gem in Felix Horn Myhre after making an approach for the Brann midfielder.

The Baggies made Nolan Galves their sixth senior signing of the summer transfer window on Tuesday.

Galves follows Barney Stewart, Jimmy-Jay Morgan, Matt Ingram, Carter Pinnington and Conor Townsend in arriving at The Hawthorns.

No new central midfielders have yet to be signed, but that may now be about to change.

Myhre is a new name on Albion's transfer radar and the reviews on the Norway international are very impressive.

And there is no reason why the 27-year-old cannot take the Championship by storm if a deal can be struck by West Brom.

What has been said about West Brom move for Felix Horn Myhre?

West Brom News reported on Tuesday how West Brom could be about to turn to Brodie Spencer as their next signing.

With Galves already arriving, a move for another right-back is not exactly getting supporters excited.

A move for Myhre should, though, with Norwegian outlet Bergens Tidende reporting late on Tuesday that West Brom have made an approach.

The report adds that a bid has been made by a Spanish club, but West Brom's interest has not advanced to that stage yet.

What type of player is Myhre?

Myhre is a central midfielder by trade and is more of a creator than a holder.

His heat map across 14 league matches this season shows he likes to drift out towards the left-hand side.

The former Valerenga midfielder, who has spent his entire career in Norway, has two goals and an assist across those 14 games.

Myhre has certainly earned plenty of rave reviews, with Brann teammate Joachim Soltvedt saying earlier this year: "He's a class above everyone else on the pitch. He does things that nobody else can."

Norwegian football expert Knut Hoibraaten, meanwhile, told Bergens Tidende: "He deserves the chance to play in a bigger league."

That opportunity may well present itself this summer, with Albion - looking up at the Premier League rather than down at League One - seeming as good an option as any.

If the Baggies can get this one over the line, supporters have every right to get excited.
