Why did West Brom not proceed with Cameron Archer signature?
Morrison has not been quiet about his desire to add another striker to the ranks.
However, it will not Archer, as there was one aspect about the Southampton man that the Black Country club did not like.
Journalist Joe Chapman claimed via X on Tuesday that the Baggies were not willing to pay his wages, despite liking the player.
He stated that they did want to add just for the sake of it, despite it being deadline day.
It may be a decision that they come to regret, given Archer's history in the Championship.
What does Archer's Championship record look like?
Archer has notched a total of 22 goals and 10 assists in 70 second tier games so far in his career.
He managed four goals and three assists in 30 matches in the division last season.
That suggests that he would have been able to contribute for Albion, if he did sign for them.
Unfortunately, it looks like they will not be bringing a striker into the fold before the window closes, and will end with just the signing of Brayann Pereira on the final day.
A potential loan deal for Liverpool's Jayden Danns has been ruled out, and they are no longer in the race for Celtic's Johnny Kenny.
