Alex Mowatt’s agent speaks out after what West Brom star did v Coventry
West Brom midfielder Alex Mowatt’s agent has praised his client for his performance in the 2-0 win against Coventry.
The Baggies beat the Sky Blues on Wednesday (11 December) to end a streak of four draws in the Championship.
Mowatt scored the opening goal with a deflected effort in the 11th minute as Albion climbed to sixth place in the league table.
Mark Rankine took to Instagram [12 December] to pay tribute to his client’s display, saying: “A brilliant performance from @alexmowatt_ last night, in West Brom’s 2-0 win over Coventry, topped off with a fantastic goal from outside the box.”
Mowatt has been massive for West Brom
The 29-year-old has been a huge asset for Carlos Corberan so far this campaign, starting in 18 of his 19 appearances in the league so far.
Mowatt is the club’s top scorer behind Josh Maja (ten) and Karlan Grant (five) with four goals so far this season.
After his performance against the Sky Blues, he was named in the Championship Team of the Week on Thursday (12 December) alongside Alex Plamer and Karlan Grant.

Aston Villa star Matty Cash praised the Albion man after his goal on Wednesday and Mowatt will be hoping to join the Poland international in the top flight next season.
If the former Leeds man continues in this vein of form, then he could do that with the Baggies by getting them into the playoffs.
He is playing like a Premier League player right now and Corberan will hope it continues for the rest of the season.
