Daryl Dike done when West Brom contract expires, Justin Seven-Seven ready and waiting
Daryl Dike could be on his way out of West Bromwich Albion this summer.
The USA international has just never got going at The Hawthorns after his big-money move from Orlando City in January 2022.
Injuries have seriously hampered his career in the Black Country and have stopped him from becoming a true goal-scoring threat.
He did finish the season with two goals in consecutive games against Preston and Watford, which is as good as his season got.
It feels like it’s time for West Brom to call time on Dike’s spell in the Midlands, with Justin Seven-Seven there waiting in the wings.

Daryl Dike contract expiry date set at West Brom
The 25-year-old is seemingly in dire need of something new after such a difficult four years since his move from MLS.
That could be entirely possible after just six starts and a general lack of goalscoring activity throughout his most recent campaign in the second tier.
| Stat (Championship 25/26) | Daryl Dike |
| Appearances | 24 |
| Starts | 6 |
| Minutes played | 719 |
| Goals | 2 |
| Assists | 1 |
There is still a decision to make surrounding his future as James Morrison has six stars approaching the end of their deals at The Hawthorns.
The American is one of the bigger names, and there are more question marks surrounding his name than others.

His current deal expires at the end of June, and there will likely be discussions about new terms before then.
Those may prove to be a non-starter as Seven-Seven continues to catch the eye for West Brom with his academy activity.
Justin Seven-Seven ready for first-team chance
There is no secret about Albion’s financial struggles, so letting go of big wage stars could prove to be worthwhile.
That makes more sense with Dike due to his general lack of availability and impact when given the chance.
His strength as a target man can be useful, but the Baggies have Seven-Seven coming through the ranks who also wants to play in that role.

He is a German youth international and has scored goals for the academy side this season in B71, something which can’t be ignored.
Giving him a chance to thrive could give the Baggies a financial break and potentially allow a talented youngster to thrive at senior level.
