Tammer Bany confusion on cards at West Brom after World Cup omission
Tammer Bany has been involved in confusion away from West Bromwich Albion.
The 22-year-old would have hoped to play at the World Cup with Jordan, who he made his debut for in November.
The Baggies ace is eligible to represent the Middle Eastern nation, Palestine or his place of birth, Denmark.
He chose the Chivalrous Ones, but he has not been called up to their 30-man squad for friendlies with Switzerland and Colombia, which will be cut down to between 23 and 26 for the tournament.
West Brom are unlikely to have any representatives at the tournament as a result, but the reason for his omission is not exactly clear.

What has been said about West Brom star Bany?
Bany has struggled to get on the pitch for West Brom, and injury issues seem to be at fault again.
According to Express and Star, coach Jamal Sellami has claimed that he is injured, per Jordanian reports, but no new fitness issue has been confirmed.
It is a peculiar situation, but it would not be a surprise if he were out of action again.
Why is it no surprise that Bany is injured again?
Bany has struggled for game time since signing for Albion in a £3million deal from Randers in February 2025.
He has featured just eight times for the Baggies, recording one assist in that time, which is not good enough for that price.
The young forward featured in the second half of the final game of the season, a 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday, after playing a total of 10 minutes in the previous matches against Watford and Ipswich Town.

It seems that he is now the forgotten man for his country as well as his club, and he will hope to be able to bounce back next season, and show his ability without fitness issues getting in the way.
Right now, Throstles fans will be doubting his chances of doing that, as they have been given nothing to make them believe that he will come good at The Hawthorns.
He may well end up being a case of ‘what if’, as injuries seem to continue to take their toll on the one-cap international, and if the reports from Jordan are true, it will only help fuel that narrative.
