Felix Horn Myhre message made loud and clear in West Brom draw vs Charlton
Felix Horn Myhre struggled to impose himself once again as West Bromwich Albion drew 1-1 with Charlton Athletic.
The Norway international played 89 minutes of Tuesday night's Championship clash at The Hawthorns.
Albion led 1-0 through Callum Styles' goal just before the hour mark, but Tyreece Campbell levelled 10 minutes later.
Dropping two points from a winning position would have annoyed James Morrison, with a few players simply not at it on the day.
West Brom are still in a good position four games into the campaign, but Myhre's lack of impact is starting to get slightly concerning.
And on the back of the Charlton draw, it may well be that Morrison opts to end his experiment.
What James Morrison needs to do next with Felix Horn Myhre
Myhre was signed for £2.5million from Brann in the summer, so plenty is expected of the midfielder.
And that is exactly it: the midfielder. Morrison again used Myhre off Jimmy-Jay Morgan as a second striker against Charlton.
Myhre did register two key passes, but he was otherwise on the periphery as he had just 40 touches.
The 27-year-old is more accustomed to playing in a deeper midfield position, which would see him alongside Ousmane Diakite.
That would spell bad news for Jayson Molumby, but it is surely the best route for Morrison to go down.
What else did we learn from Charlton draw?
Rabby Nzingoula was superb for West Brom in the draw with Charlton after being introduced at half-time.
That was at the expense of Kareem Tunde, whose full debut did not last long at all.
Tunde was sacrificed at the break and that was a decision that more than paid off from Morrison, who continues to impress as a manager.
If Morrison is to reward players for strong performances, as he should, then Nzingoula will surely be in the XI that starts against Watford on Saturday.
Rotation becomes key now the three-games-a-week schedule has kicked in, so utilising players like Nzingoula and getting the absolute most out of Myhre is key.
