Sam Parkin feels sorry for West Brom player after what he saw vs Wrexham
Kieffer Moore's superb goal with 65 minutes on the clock at Y Cae Ras put the Welsh side ahead in Tuesday night's clash.
Isaac Price then fired in against a side he loves playing against with 11 minutes remaining
Price went on to assist substitute Aune Heggebo for a winner soon after as Albion recovered from back-to-back 1-0 losses.
While the performance was far from impressive for three-quarters of the game, the Baggies showed great resilience to recover.
James Morrison handed Barney Stewart his first league start since arriving in the summer, but his performance summed things up for the visitors while he was on the field.
Barney Stewart frustrations felt on full West Brom league debut
Stewart was in superb form for Scotland Under-21s in the recent international break.
Many felt he should have started against Birmingham City at the weekend, but instead Aune Heggebo got the nod and again fired a blank.
Morrison gave Stewart the chance he deserved in North Wales, but it is not one he was able to take full advantage of.
However, that was mainly due to a lack of any sort of support from those around him.
As Parkin pointed out on Sky Sports' live coverage of the game: "I feel sorry for him.
"He's not had the ball into his feet and had zero chances to get at Wrexham. He's a promising player."
To make matters worse for Stewart, he was off the pitch with a head injury when Moore fired Wrexham ahead, before going off moments later.
Aune Heggebo plays himself back into West Brom XI
Jimmy-Jay Morgan was named among the substitutes, but he made an impact moments after coming on for Harry Whitwell.
The summer signing cut inside on his right boot and fired in a shot that deflected into the air.
Price did the rest by firing in the loose ball for his latest goal against Wrexham, before setting up Heggebo for the winner.
Stewart will be wondering where that type of support was when he was on the field.
And with Heggebo back among the goals, you would imagine he now start against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
