Jimmy-Jay Morgan reveals secret Danny Imray conversation ahead of West Brom transfer
Jimmy-Jay Morgan has revealed that he spoke to Danny Imray ahead of deciding to join West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies announced the arrival of Morgan on Thursday after reaching an agreement for the Chelsea youngster.
Albion will pay the Blues £1.3million up front, as the overall deal could rise to £4m with the potential add-ons included.
Morgan has signed for the Black Country Club on a long-term deal, and Chelsea hold a hefty sell-on clause, should Shilen Patel ever cash in on the Englishman in the future.
The arrival of the former Peterborough United loanee marks Albion's second signing of the summer and second addition to the forward line.
However, West Brom supporters want to see Imray return, as he clearly holds the club in high regard after his successful loan stay at The Hawthorns.

Morgan has followed Barney Stewart to the Baggies, as James Morrison already has two new forward options early into the transfer window.
This comes amid news that Karlan Grant is exploring options elsewhere after being offered a new deal by the club, with Josh Maja yet to make a decision on his future.
Regardless, Morgan is a promising addition for Morrison's side, and has opened up on the conversations he had before deciding The Hawthorns was the place he wanted to go to.
Speaking in his first West Brom interview, Morgan said: "I spoke to the manager, and I spoke a little but to Alfie Gilchrist, [Danny] Imray as well."
It's clear that whatever was said had a big influence on his decision to join West Brom, which will make Imray go up even more in Baggies fans' estimation.
West Brom won't stop in key area after Morgan signing
West Brom remain keen on re-signing Imray on a permanent deal, but it is expected that any transfer decision on the player's behalf will be made later down the line this window.
The Baggies have focused elsewhere for now, as despite the arrivals of Morgan and Stewart, Albion look set to try and sign at least one more number nine.
This suggests Morrison will stick with his preferred 4-4-2 formation, as Aune Heggebo has a task on his hands to stay in the side next term.
West Brom have been named along with QPR as sides interested in signing Lorient hitman Bamba Dieng, who could be available for free next month.
