West Brom v Coventry injury news as Doctor drops Kyle Bartley update
West Brom defender Kyle Bartley is not at a 100 per cent ahead of the game against Coventry, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that him returning to the bench against Hull City was a positive sign that he’s getting back to full fitness.
However, starting the game against Coventry on Friday, 1 March, might be too much as he’s likelier to come off the bench.
Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Bartley’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said: “This sounded like a Grade 2 out of 4 calf injury.
“He returned back to full training ahead of schedule which was certainly a positive.
“Initially, it looked like he would be out for the rest of the month.
“Returning to the matchday squad is one thing but his sharpness is still missing.
“Might take him a few more weeks to return to 100 per cent so he may not be ready for a start.“
Bartley’s return from injury a big boost for West Brom
Bartley found himself in a similar situation back in December and then he built up his match sharpness before becoming a first-team regular again.
At 32, it undoubtedly takes him more time to recover from injury setbacks and Carlos Corberan will be aware of that.

Hopefully, he does not suffer any more complications from now until the end of the season and is available for selection for the Baggies.
In other West Brom news, the deal is expected to go through as a fresh Baggies takeover development has emerged recently.
